Draft — pending legal review
Your privacy.
Draft of 23 October 2026. Not yet in force. [Effective date TBC]
We keep as little as we can, for as short a time as we can. Your ticket photo never leaves your phone.
Right now, payments aren’t open. Until they are, the case builder runs entirely on your phone: we don’t receive your answers or ticket details, and we don’t keep a case record. The rest of this policy describes what will happen once payments open.
Who we are. Not Another App LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 17531394. Registered office: 102 Swan Street, Brierley Hill, DY5 4DQ. Contact: jordan@notanotherapp.lol [Dedicated support address TBC].
Who’s in charge of your data
The data controller is [Controller (legal entity name) TBC]. You can reach us at jordan@notanotherapp.lol. Whether we need to register with the ICO or appoint a data protection lead is [ICO registration status TBC].
What stays on your phone
- Photos of your ticket and evidence. Read on your device to pull out the details. They are never uploaded to us.
- Your answers. Saved in your browser so you can pick up where you left off. Clear your browser data to remove them.
- Your sound setting and a reference to your case, so the site remembers what you’ve paid for.
What we hold on our server
Only when you pay (or try to), we keep one small case record:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A random case ID | To link your payment to your case. |
| A ticket fingerprint: a one-way scrambled code made from your ticket’s nation, issuer, PCN number, vehicle registration and date | So a payment unlocks only that ticket, and your verdict fee comes off the letter. We don’t store the PCN number or registration themselves. |
| What you paid for, how much, when, and the Stripe checkout reference | To give you what you paid for and to keep proper records. |
| When you ticked to get it straight away | To show you agreed to give up the 14-day right to cancel. |
| Your email address, if you give it to Stripe at checkout | So we can send or match your receipt. |
To write your letter, your answers are sent to our server, used to build the letter, then thrown away. We don’t keep them.
Our hosting provider’s logs may briefly record technical details such as IP address and browser type. We don’t write your answers, ticket details or email into our logs. [Log retention period TBC]
Our lawful basis
We use this data to deliver what you buy (contract) and to keep records we’re required to keep (legal obligation). [Lawful bases to be confirmed on legal review]
Who else sees it
- Stripe takes your payment. You type your card details on Stripe’s own page; we never see them. Stripe’s role for this data (processor or separate controller) is [Stripe role, confirmed on legal review TBC]. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the case record, as our processor. [Data location and transfer safeguards TBC]
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
- A case record with no payment is deleted after 7 days.
- A paid case record is deleted 90 days after your last payment, which leaves time for refund questions.
- Payment records held by Stripe follow Stripe’s own retention. Any accounting records we must keep are [Accounting record retention TBC].
Deletion runs automatically every day. [Retention periods proposed, pending legal review]
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to move it. Tell us at jordan@notanotherapp.lol and give us your case reference if you have it. We’ll reply within one month.
Not happy?
Tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
