We don’t use cookies. Here’s exactly what the site does store, and why.
Our site
Unclamped sets no cookies of its own, and we don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
To make the case builder work, your browser keeps a few things on your device using local storage (not cookies):
| What | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your answers and a reference to your case | localStorage | So you can pick up where you left off and the site remembers what you’ve paid for. | Until you clear your browser data or press “Start again”. |
| Photos of your ticket and evidence | IndexedDB | So the photos stay on your phone and are never uploaded. | Until you clear your browser data or press “Start again”. |
| The email you type at checkout, and whether the opening animation has played | sessionStorage | So you don’t have to type it twice, and the intro doesn’t replay. | Until you close the tab. |
| The text-reading data used to read your ticket photo on your phone | IndexedDB | So reading a ticket is faster next time. It contains no personal data. | Until you clear your browser data. |
| Your sound setting | localStorage | So the site remembers whether you turned sound on. | Until you clear your browser data. |
All of this is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we don’t need to ask first. None of it is used to track you.
Stripe’s payment page
When you pay, you go to Stripe’s own secure page. Stripe sets its own cookies there to take your payment safely and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
